The Dock Association is requesting that all Unit Owners and Dock Owners remain off the dock during construction. Walking on the Dock in its present condition is unsafe. Additionally, remain off of the rip rap which is the rocks on the shoreline which could be damaged by walking on the rocks as there is material to secure the shoreline under the rocks which could be permeated by walking on it. We just paid to have the shoreline repaired and we don’t want it damaged again.
Further, I am also getting complaints that unit owners are in the way of construction workers which is slowing down the construction progress. The workers are carrying large, heavy planks and having to walk around residents on the sidewalk, which is a safety hazard for the workers and also the residents. Please refrain from congregating between building 6 and 7.
The construction progress is excellent with the first 250 feet going from the shoreline to the first junction completed with the installation of the pilings, bents and stringers. Presently, that area is covered with plywood as we didn’t want the new composite decking installed as it could get damaged. Volunteers have installed 256 feet of 2 inch water line from shore to the first junction. Over half the pilings are installed for the walkway for the forty foot slips. They are presently installing the bents and stringers on the East side of the Tiki Hut which should be completed by Friday. Additionally, they should finish installing the pilings on the West side of the Tiki Hut this week.
Our Engineer makes bi-weekly inspections to insure construction is being completed to our specifications, which it is.
Any questions or concerns should be directed to a Board Member, not the construction company.
Thank you for your help
